Privacy Policy

QuarterMaster is a marketing and growth tracking app made by Black Mast Marketing ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information QuarterMaster holds, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash, never as the password itself.
• Your company's numbers: what you type in, such as prices, costs, customers, sales calls, goals, offers and marketing spend.
• Connected accounts: if you connect a service such as Meta, YouTube, Google or WordPress, we read the numbers QuarterMaster shows (for example ad spend, leads, followers or posts). Connections are read-only. We never post, buy ads or change anything in those accounts.
• Files you import: reports you upload, such as a CSV from your ad account. We read the totals and keep the numbers, not the file.
• Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach QuarterMaster.
• Basic usage: sign-in times and which pages are used, so we can keep the service secure and improve it.

How we use it

• To show your numbers, goals, reports and lessons.
• To send you the emails you would expect: sign-in links, password resets, invites, and a monthly summary you can turn off.
• If Black Mast Marketing is your consultant, so your consultant can see your company's numbers and help you.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your company's numbers to advertise to you or to anyone else.

Who can see your company's information

• People at your company that your Company Admin adds, with the access the admin chooses.
• Black Mast Marketing staff assigned to your company, if you are a consulting client.
• If you bought QuarterMaster through a partner agency, that agency, instead of Black Mast Marketing.
• Service providers we rely on to run QuarterMaster (hosting, email delivery, Stripe), only as needed to provide the service.

Keeping it safe

Information is encrypted when it travels and when it is stored. Access tokens for connected accounts are stored encrypted on our servers, never in your browser. Each company's information is kept separate from every other company's.

The AI assistant and practice conversations

QuarterMaster's AI features (answers in Help, and practicing conversations with your Ideal Customers) can use Black Mast models, which you install once and which run on your own computer. When you use it, your questions, your numbers, your Ideal Customer profiles and your practice conversations are processed on your computer and are not sent to us or to any AI company. Your data stays yours.

If no Black Mast model is running, QuarterMaster answers from its own built-in library and practice scripts, also on your computer. Help chats and practice conversations are saved so you can come back to them, and you can delete any of them at any time. Text read aloud (Listen, and voice mode in practice) uses Black Mast voices, which are also made on your computer, or your computer's own voices if Black Mast voices are not set up. The words being spoken are not sent anywhere.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. If you close your account, we delete your company's information within 30 days, except what we must keep for tax or legal reasons.

Your choices

• Download your data at any time in Settings, Data.
• Disconnect any connected account in Settings, Connections. We then stop reading from it.
• Ask us to correct or delete your information.

Deleting data from connected accounts

To delete the information QuarterMaster read from Meta, Google or any other connected service, disconnect it in Settings, Connections and ask us to delete the stored numbers. We confirm when it is done.

Cookies

QuarterMaster uses only what it needs to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
